Team GB boss Stuart Pearce believes the Team GB football experience has been a success, but says it?s unlikely to happen again. Daniel Sturridge was the only player to miss in a dramatic penalty shoot-out (Picture: Reuters) Despite a familiar penalty shoot-out loss to South Korea, the England Under-21 boss says London 2012 has been a ?fantastic experience? but doesn?t think a men?s team is likely to become a regular sight in the Olympics ?The format of Team GB in the Olympics would be fantastic but I do not think it will happen again,? said Pearce. ?Home advantage has allowed us to have this opportunity, but when you look at international programmes and bringing nationalities together, where are we going to find the time to enter a qualification period?? Following a 1-1 stalemate after extra time, both sides netted their first four spot-kicks before Daniel Sturridge had his effort saved. Welshman Aaron Ramsey scored Team GB?s first penalty, having himself seen one go in and another saved during normal time. ?The experience has been fantastic and all the individuals who contributed go back to their clubs and countries better for it,? said Pearce.
