Telfair Breast Cancer Awareness Holiday Tree Shines

A tree that sparkles with hope.

(Savannah, GA)??A tradition of hope for the holidays continued tonight at the Mary Telfair Pavilion.
They celebrated with the lighting of the breast cancer awareness holiday tree.
The ceremony marked a special moment for survivors.
Decorated with ornaments, pink ribbons, and dedication cards it's a symbol of hope, encouragement, and strength, especially for those who have just been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Several organizations took up the cause to raise money for the mammography fund and presented checks at the event.
Their donations will help women who don't have insurance get a mammogram.
Unemployed, Mary Helton just got a mammogram thanks to her friend who is a breast cancer survivor.????
"Gail was a very good help to me being the one who suggested that I contact them, and knowing the problem that could happen with my daughter-in-law as quickly as it did keeps me going on to make sure I don't have a problem.? And if I do it's caught early," says Mary Helton.
You can stop by Telfair and see the breast cancer awareness tree throughout the holiday season.
Donations will support the mammography fund.
